As we approach the end of the school year, please give extra attention to your child’s progress in the classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Music Recital
On Sunday, April 12, some of our RCA students will be performing in a music recital with Mrs. Kerrie, our music teacher. The recital will be held in Bastrop at First United Methodist Church, located at 1201 Main St., Bastrop, TX 78602. Please enter through the front of the building upon arrival. Music students should arrive before 2:30 PM, and the program will begin at 3:00 PM.
Dads & Donuts
Join us on Friday, April 17, at 7:45 AM for Dads & Donuts! We invite dads, granddads, and special father figures to enjoy donuts and refreshments with their students. We appreciate all that you do and want to take a moment to celebrate you. If a dad is unable to attend, students are encouraged to invite someone special to join them.
Iowa Testing
Students in LC5 will take the Iowa Achievement Test on April 21–22, and students in LC 6–7 will test on April 28–29.

STUDENT RECOGNITION & BUSINESS ADS
 
Student Recognition Ads (All RCA Students) and Business Advertisements are available to purchase to be published in the RCA Yearbook.


There are multiple size options and MANY customization options available. If you have already placed a business ad in previous years, that ad can be published again (in the same or a different size) if that is your preference. The yearbook staff can assist you in determining which design best fits your needs.
 
Jostens Online Ordering:
Jostens has an online portal where you can either use their software to design your business or recognition ad, or submit an ad that you already have prepared.

  • First, go to their website: https://www.jostens.com/yearbooks/students-and-parents/yearbook-ads
  • Then, select whether you want to submit a student recognition or a business ad.
  • You will then search for/select Rosanky Christian Academy as your school.
  • Once you select which type of ad, the website will allow you to sign in or create a new account.  Doing this will allow you to work on your ad, submit it, and process your payment all in one place.



RCA Yearbook Staff Assisted Ordering:
Mrs. Susan is available if you have questions or to help you in placing your order at 512-968-6026 or at yearbook@rosankyca.org.
  • Ads will need to be coordinated directly with the RCA Yearbook Staff.
  • The ads will be published at the back of the 2025-2026 RCA Yearbooks.

For examples of the ads, please see the 2024 and 2025 yearbooks, or contact Mrs. Susan.  There are copies of the 2024-2025 yearbook at school if you do not have one.

Tomorrow, March 31, is Spring Picture Day. Students can dress in uniform, or parents can choose a Spring outfit (school appropriate) for their pictures. We will also be taking "sibling" pictures--These will be in the yearbook and parents will receive a proof. If your student is scheduled to leave early tomorrow, please let me or their teacher know and we will do our best to make sure their picture is taken before they leave.

Good evening,
Today, we welcome our staff and students back after a week off for Spring Break. We pray that everyone is returning refreshed and ready to hit the ground running.
The 3rd quarter of this school year ends this Friday. Be sure your child is at the proper level and on schedule to complete at least 3 Paces in each subject for the quarter. If your child is behind and not on level, they will complete more than 4 Paces in any subject in which they are behind.


Art Class Magnets
From Mrs. Michele Daugherty: Please submit payment for magnets or other ordered items by cash or check. If you are not making a purchase, kindly return the order form along with the magnet. Students who did not receive a preview magnet should return their artwork for the order and for the end-of-year display. Proceeds from these purchases will go toward art supplies for next year.

Picture Day
Spring Picture Day is March 31. Students can dress in uniform, or parents can choose their outfit for their Spring pictures. If your child did not take an individual picture in the fall for the yearbook, they will need to take a picture in their school uniform. After they take their yearbook picture, they can change into their second outfit. We will reach out to you individually if this applies to your child.
We are truly grateful for your continued commitment and support of RCA. We keep you and your families in our prayers and ask that you remember us in yours as well.

We are now in the 8th week of the 3rd quarter. Students are doing a great job staying on task. If your child comes home with homework, please ensure it is completed and that the homework slip is signed and returned to the teacher. Teachers are adjusting goals to help students reach a good stopping point before Spring Break.

Noon Early Release
This Friday is an early release. Please arrange to have your child picked up from school at noon. If your child will be picked up by someone not on the approved pick-up list, please let the teacher know with a note signed by you. There will be no after-school care on this day.

Jeans for a Week!
At the fundraiser, the LC 7 class won the silent auction bid for “Jeans for a Week!” After we return from Spring Break, all students in LC 7 will be allowed to wear jeans. Mrs. Rhonda will send more information about this to your classroom group chat.

Open Enrollment
We have officially started accepting new student enrollments for the 2026–2027 school year. If you know anyone interested in enrolling at RCA, please have them call the office or send us an email. Space is limited. If you refer a student and they remain enrolled through the first quarter, we will credit your tuition account $100 for each student you refer!

Pizza Party!
Tomorrow we will have our pizza party in celebration of the students’ hard work for the RCA fundraiser. Students can still pack their snacks for break. Please pack your child a drink for lunch.

I hope everyone is having a great week. We are now in Week 7 of the 3rd Quarter, and you should have received your child’s progress report by now. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, please contact your child’s teacher. Also, please remember to return the blue parent folder to the teacher.

Earlier today, while some students were outside during playtime, a neighbor in the area was discharging a firearm. Our staff immediately assessed the situation and confirmed that the individual was at a safe distance and not shooting toward the school, and that everyone on campus was safe. Some students were understandably alarmed while outside. The activity lasted for approximately 10 minutes and then stopped. Our staff remained attentive throughout the situation to ensure student safety. This type of occurrence is very rare, but we wanted to make you aware of what took place. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. 


Spring Photos
On Tuesday, March 31, students will have individual spring photos taken. Students do not need to wear their normal Friday jeans and school shirt. Instead, they may wear a spring outfit of the parents’ choice.


Noon Early Release
On Friday, March 13, we will have Noon Early Release. Please make arrangements to have your child picked up at 12:00 PM. There will be no after-school care on this day.


Spring Break
Spring Break is right around the corner! RCA Spring Break holidays will be March 16–20. Over the next couple of weeks, teachers will be adjusting daily goals to help students reach a good stopping point before the break. If your child comes home with homework, please be sure it is completed before the following school day.


New Student Enrollment
Enrollment is now open for new students for the 2026–2027 school year. If you have family or friends who may be interested in enrolling, please share our contact information with them and ask them to let us know you referred them.


RCA Fundraiser
This year, the academy raised $37,775 at the BBQ Fundraiser and Auction!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the RCA BBQ and Auction Fundraiser. Thanks to our incredible community, we served over 1,100 brisket and sausage BBQ plates in just 2.5 hours!


We give thanks to God for His blessings, provision, and for bringing our community together for such a special evening.


Thank you to our sponsors, donors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your generosity, time, and dedication truly make a lasting difference for RCA and our students.

Pizza Party!
On March 12, we will celebrate the students’ hard work and efforts toward the fundraiser with a pizza party. Students will not need to pack a lunch on this day, as pizza will be provided. They should only bring a snack for break time and their beverage of choice for lunch.

Beautification Day
On March 21 at 9:00 AM, church members from Rosanky Baptist Church will be hosting a Beautification Day. Lunch will be provided, and they are asking for a few volunteers who can help for a couple of hours. Projects will include:
  • Trimming plants and trees
  • Painting
  • Playground repairs
  • And other improvements

This is a very important week at RCA, and there is a great deal taking place. Please take a few moments to review the information below carefully.

RCA Fundraiser & BBQ – Mandatory for All Families
Parent involvement in the RCA Fundraiser and BBQ is essential. This event is mandatory for all families. Please arrive on time and report to the assigned time and location, ready to help.

If you are unsure of your assignment, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.



Class Baskets
Thank you to those who have already contributed to your child’s class basket. We appreciate your generosity and promptness.

If you have not yet donated an item, please do so before Friday. There are still a few families who have not contacted the teacher regarding their contribution. Our goal is to have all baskets decorated and ready for presentation by Friday morning.


Live Auction Items
Thank you to everyone who has delivered Live Auction items. There is a great deal of work happening behind the scenes, and our staff and volunteers have been working diligently in preparation for Saturday. 


Every family is expected to solicit or donate one item for the Live Auction. When delivering your item(s), please include a description and the approximate value. If your item needs to be picked up, please notify us as soon as possible. 

It would help us out greatly if all live auction items are delivered to the school by 9:00 AM on Friday. If you have a live auction item, such as a cake, that needs to be delivered on Saturday, please let us know so that we can have it on the auction list on Friday! 



Thursday Workday
Tomorrow, all staff and students will be cleaning throughout the campus. Students should wear clothes that may get dirty. Please do not send your child to school in their RCA school T-shirt. Parent volunteers are welcome!

Friday
There will be no school for students in LC1–LC6 on Friday. LC7 and our RCA Staff will be setting up and preparing for the fundraiser.


Saturday – Fundraiser Day

All students must wear jeans and this year’s RCA T-shirt. Everyone has an important role. Please ensure your child arrives on time and reports to their assigned station. When someone is absent from their assignment, it creates confusion and difficulties for others.

If you have any questions about your or your student's assignment on the day of the fundraiser, please stop at the front of the school and see Ms. Sue or Samantha Medina.


Progress Reports

Progress reports will be sent home tomorrow. Please review your child’s report carefully and contact the teacher with any questions or concerns.

Happy Hump Day!
We now have just one and a half weeks remaining for Early Enrollment. Please submit your Early Enrollment form along with your payment to the office, or you may leave it in the drop box next to my office door.
We have received several calls from new families who are interested in enrolling for next year. Registration for all new students will open in March.
Thank you for taking care of this promptly and for helping us prepare for the upcoming school year!
BBQ Tickets
BBQ ticket money is now past due. At your earliest convenience, please turn in your money to Ms. Sue in the office. We still have several families who have not submitted their ticket payments. Thank you for helping us with this matter!
Live Auction Items
A big part of our fundraiser's success is the live auction. Please remember that each family is required to contribute an item for the auction. This can be something you donate personally or an item you secure through a business donation. It would be extremely helpful if these items could be brought to the school as soon as possible.
Classroom Baskets
We still have several students who have not contributed to their classroom basket. Please communicate with your child’s teacher regarding what you will be bringing or donating.
Large Orders
We need to know if you—or anyone you have sold BBQ tickets to—will be picking up 10 or more plates at one time. We are preparing a list of large orders so we can have them ready in advance. Please call the office at 512-360-3109 or email office@rosankybc.org with the name, number of plates, and approximate pickup time.
Please keep in mind that tuition and fees only cover approximately 70% of RCA’s annual budget. With everyone’s participation and God’s blessing, we are confident this fundraiser will be successful. Thank you for your efforts and hard work in helping make this event the best it can be!
