RCA Weekly Letter: September 229/22/2025 This is the 4th week of the 1st quarter. We have just one more week until mid-quarter progress reports are issued.
Progress Reports Progress Reports will be sent home in your Parent Envelope during the week of October 6 (LC 3 -7 only). If your child has homework, please ensure that you read and sign your child’s homework slip. It is our mission to have every student meet their goals each quarter. If a student is not completing their homework assignments, it will be difficult for them to meet their goals. Absence and Tardies For an absence or tardy to be excused, students must have a parent's or doctor’s note. Tardies and absences are being recorded. If a student has more than five tardies per quarter, they will not be allowed to participate in their class field trip. SYATP See You At The Pole this Wednesday! We will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24 (please have your student at school at 7:25 a.m.). All students will gather around the flagpole in the courtyard—parents, you are welcome to stay. Remember, students who attend are allowed to wear jeans with either a SYATP shirt OR an RCA shirt. Afterward, we will have snacks for LC 5-7 in the chapel and for LC 1-4 in the fellowship hall. SYATP is a national student-led day of prayer. We are excited to see the Upperclassmen model their leadership abilities and pray for their peers. Coloring Contest The Rosanky Community Center asked our students if they would like to participate in a coloring contest. Coloring Sheets need to be turned in to their teacher this Friday. Grandparents/Grandfriends Day Parents, if you have not signed up or if you are unsure what to bring, please contact your child’s teacher. Students will be dismissed from their classroom at 11:00 am to join their Grandparents/Grandfriends for lunch. Parents, to help us prepare in time, we kindly ask everyone to drop off the food in the morning or please have it here no later than 10:00 am. We understand some students may have grandparents who are no longer with us, so we encourage them to invite their Grandfriends! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need two parent volunteers to help with the setup of the Grandparents Day lunch. Please contact Mrs. Sue at [email protected] if you are available to help. Friday Noon Early Release This Friday is an early release day. If your child is not going home with a grandparent, they will need to be picked up at 12:00 pm. Students may leave with their grandparents/grandfriends after lunch. If they are not on the Student Release Form, please send a note to the teacher. There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE this Friday Picture Day School picture day for individual and class pictures is next Tuesday, October 7. We could use one more volunteer to help with Picture Day. If you can volunteer, please let Mrs. Sarah know at [email protected] RCA Holiday On September 29-30, the RCA Staff will be attending an A.C.E. Educators Conference in Houston, TX. There will be no school on these two days. School will resume on Wednesday, October 1.

RCA Weekly Letter: September 159/15/2025 Dear RCA Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful start to their week. My family and I enjoy beginning our week in worship at church—it’s a special time for us to pause, reconnect, and grow together. If your family is looking for a church home, I encourage you to find a place where you can worship and serve. Being part of a church community can be a great source of encouragement and strength. Most students are doing well in the classroom, and several have already taken their first test of the school year. Parents, please give close attention to homework slips. Completing homework on time is essential for students to stay on track with their academic goals. Even one missed day of homework can impact a student's progress for the week or quarter. Coloring Contest – Entries Due Friday, September 26 The Rosanky Community Center has invited our students to participate in a coloring contest. All completed sheets must be turned in by Friday, September 26. Last year, 6–8 of our students won prizes, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more winners this year. See You At The Pole – Tuesday, September 24 at 7:30 AM If you ordered a See You At The Pole t-shirt for your child, please make sure their cash or check payment is submitted to their teacher as soon as possible. Shirts were delivered today and will be handed out tomorrow or Wednesday. SYATP is a special morning of prayer and fellowship, and we’re excited to see our students lead in prayer and worship. Grandparents & Grandfriends Day – Thursday, September 26 We are looking forward to celebrating our Grandparents and Grandfriends at RCA. Students will be dismissed for lunch at 11:00 AM. Please note: This is an early noon release day. Dish Sign-Up Reminder: If you have not yet signed up to bring a dish, please do so at your earliest convenience.
Parent Packet Reminder We still have a few parent packets that have not been turned in, and several that are incomplete. Please submit all completed packets by Wednesday. If you are unsure whether your forms are complete, please call Mrs. Sue in the RCA office for assistance. Thank you for your continued prayers and support, RCA Weekly Letter: September 89/8/2025 You can’t have a great work week without a great Monday! It was a joy to walk through the classrooms today and see students working diligently. Parents, your involvement matters—please continue helping your child stay on track by reviewing their homework slips each evening.
We are now in the second week of the first quarter. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please contact their teacher. Meetings can be arranged as needed. Thank you for being active partners in your child’s education. Lunch and Snack Reminders Morning Snacks: If your child is returning home with snacks, it could be because teachers are discouraging kids from eating snacks like candy and fruit snacks during their morning break. Please pack nutritional snacks for their lunch and morning break. Water Bottles: Students are encouraged to bring a leak-proof, refillable water bottle or container each day. This helps reduce the number of classroom disruptions for water breaks and we want to be sure students are drinking plenty of water. See You at the Pole (SYATP) Wednesday, September 24 at 7:30 AM The Global Day of Student-led prayer is on Wednesday, September 24, beginning at 7:30 am (please have your student to school by 7:25 am). We will meet at the RCA flagpole and our LC 7 students will lead the school in prayer. Parents are welcome to stay and spectate! Students who attend SYATP are allowed to wear jeans and their SYATP t-shirt or an RCA school shirt. We will have breakfast items available afterward. SYATP Shirt Orders Due: Thursday, September 11 Order your shirt online by using the link below. Please submit payment by cash or check. SYATP T-Shirt Order Form Weekly Scripture Memory Students have weekly scripture memory assignments. Parents, your support at home can make a big difference—please review and practice the verses with your child. Music and Art Classes Begin Music and Art start this week. We are excited to see our students explore and grow their creative talents throughout the year. Patriot Day – Thursday, September 11 Students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to honor Patriot Day. Please take time with your family to pray for our nation as we remember the events and heroes of September 11, 2001. Tardy Policy Starts This WeekStarting this week, students must be in the Fellowship Hall by 8:20 AM to avoid being marked tardy. As shared during Parent Orientation: Students with more than 5 tardies per quarter will not be permitted to attend their class field trip. Message from Samantha Medina – ROOTS Group The ROOTS group (Reaching Out to Teachers and Students) supports staff and student needs throughout the year.
Text: (832) 616-1009 Email: [email protected] Thank you for staying connected and supporting the RCA community! Student Check-Out When checking your child out of school, you will be asked to present a valid photo ID. This policy is in place for the safety and security of all our students. Please note that Ms. Sue, who recently joined RCA, is still learning everyone’s names and faces.
