The new school year is just around the corner. We are excited to share with you the elective classes we have available this year. Please use the link below to sign your student(s) up.

Piano/Drums/Guitar/Ukulele/Vocal/ lessons: with Shera Covington, open to students age 8 and up.

Shop Class: open to students in 7th grade and up. Depending on how many students enroll, we may allow younger students to enroll.

Good Afternoon RCA Parents!

At parent orientation, I mentioned that this year we will have after school child care from 4:00-5:30 PM. Below is a link with information for you to sign up.

Please understand that there is a minimum amount of students that will need to sign up to make this work. Our goal is to make this affordable for families and beneficial for our staff member staying after school.

Happy first day of school! We are excited to welcome back our RCA Eagles, and grateful to have new families joining us this year.

Parent Information Packet
If you did not receive your packet at Parent Orientation, it will be sent home today. Please return all required forms by this Friday, September 6th, so that we may begin updating our records. Thank you for your help with this!
If you turned in your student(s) paperwork, but information/signatures are missing, we will be sending you the forms to fill in the missing information.

Water Bottles
Although water fountains may be used, we encourage you to send your child to school each day with a reusable water bottle.

Office Hours/Student Pick Up
Mrs. Becky, our school secretary, is available from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (her office is in the church building). If you are picking up your child before 3:30 pm, please visit her office to sign your child out.

Electives
Music and Art classes will begin next week. Your elective teacher should have contacted you with information about the class and how you can make payments. If you have not heard from them, please let me know.
If you are interested in signing up for Art or Music, it is not too late. Please click the link below to sign up. The class schedule will be put together this week, please sign up at your earliest convenience.

Dress Code
Please review the RCA Parent /Student Handbook. All students must comply with the Dress and Appearance Guidelines.

If you like to order a hoodie, please fill out the online form.

Also, next Wednesday, September 11, in honor of Patriot Day, we will allow all students to wear jeans to school (appropriate fit, no tears or holes) with a Patriotic t-shirt or any red, white and blue t-shirt. (Parents, please make sure your child’s t-shirt does not contain any inappropriate wording, graphics or slogans.)

Lastly, all Registration Fees and Book Fees are due. All tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month and are considered late after the 5th.

RCA,
I hope everyone’s summer started off well! We enjoyed seeing so many of our RCA students at Vacation Bible School. We were so excited for the 8 kids who surrendered their life to Christ. This month we will start preparing the school for the upcoming school year. Every summer, many repairs and regular maintenance take place. We appreciate all of our helpers who come in and get the school ready for the upcoming school year.

Remember to get your reading time in this summer! A fun way to get (and donate) new books is to check out the “Free Little Libraries”—you can find a map of their locations at littlefreelibrary.org. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3 and Parent Orientation night is Monday, August 26.

Registration is still open. If you know anyone interested in going to school at
RCA, please ask them to call the office to arrange a time to meet and tour the academy. Don't forget, we are giving a $100 tuition credit to anyone who refers a friend!
