Fundraiser Meetings
The fundraiser will be here before we know it. Please be sure to attend one of the meetings this Wednesday or Thursday at 3:00 PM. We will meet in the media room next door in the church.


Kindergarten Graduation
Please mark your calendar for our Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, February 4, at 6:00 PM. Come support these excited students as they walk across the stage—it is sure to be a fun and memorable evening!


BBQ Tickets
As you sell BBQ tickets, please remember to turn in all funds to Ms. Sue in the office. A receipt will be provided for all money turned in.

• Please do not send cash or checks to school with students, as these can be misplaced.
• You may also use the drop box located next to the Principal’s office. Be sure to complete the yellow slip so funds can be properly accounted for.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.


Classroom Theme Baskets
Each family is asked to contribute to their student’s classroom basket. Information on how to contribute will be sent home by your child’s teacher. Families are also welcome to contribute to another class basket or request an item donation from a business or individual for any class.

Important Reminders

• Scripture Memorization is due this Friday.
• Noon Early Release this Friday January 16.
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day is January 19 and is an RCA Holiday.

Happy New Year!
We hope you all enjoyed a restful and joyful break. We are excited to welcome students back as we return to school and finish the second quarter strong. We have just 6.5 days remaining in Quarter 2.
A few important reminders:

• Please ensure your student arrives on time each morning so we can begin the day together with prayer and morning announcements at 8:20 a.m.
  
• This is a great time to check with your child’s teacher to see if classroom supplies need replenishing, such as Kleenex, disinfectant wipes, pencils, or erasers.
  

Auction/BBQ Fundraiser – Saturday, February 28
It’s time to begin preparations for our annual Auction/BBQ Fundraiser! All students received BBQ dinner tickets before Christmas Break. Over the next few weeks, teachers will be reaching out to parents to coordinate class baskets and request donations from local businesses for auction items.
While this fundraiser requires a great deal of work, it allows us to keep tuition costs low and is the one event each year in which all RCA families are asked to volunteer. Thank you in advance for your support and commitment.

Bad Weather Notice
This morning, we experienced an unusually thick fog, making visibility difficult for drivers. Due to these weather conditions, no students were counted tardy today.
In the future, when we experience similar weather conditions, please keep safety as your top priority. Do not rush to get your child to school—your family’s safety always comes first.


Tuition Reminder
Tuition payments were due on the 1st. If you are behind on your payment, please contact us immediately so we can work together on a solution. If tuition payments are past due and we have not been contacted, the student’s continued attendance at RCA will be evaluated.

​Our annual school fundraiser is on Saturday, February 28, 2026! 

BBQ Tickets  BBQ tickets will be sent home today! As a reminder, each family with one student is required to sell 20 tickets. Each family with more than one student is required to sell 20 tickets for the first student, and each additional RCA student must sell 15 tickets. 

Parent Meeting The Parent Meeting will be in January. This is when we will also communicate where each family is assigned on the day of the fundraiser.  Parent involvement is essential to the success of this event--it is our only mandatory fundraiser for the whole school year. 

Sponsors December is a great time to start asking businesses to support our fundraiser as a sponsor, or to donate an item for the Live Auction! Attached are this year's Flyer and Sponsor Flyer. The form for Sponsor's to fill out is here.

We are now in the 8th week of the first quarter. Please take a moment to check with your child to ensure they are on track to complete their projected goals. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher.


Vision and Hearing Screening: October 30
Students will have vision and hearing screenings on Thursday, October 30. Permission forms will be sent home this Thursday.
Please review, sign, and return the form to your child’s teacher promptly.


Wood Shop
Wood Shop classes are starting soon! Information will be sent out this week to students who are signed up.


Christmas in October: Wednesday, October 29, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Join us for an evening of fun and giving at our annual Christmas in October event. On October 29, we are collecting toys and gift cards to bless families in need during the Christmas season. 
We need you! If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the online form below. FREE food will be served, and we hope you’ll come enjoy the evening and support this meaningful cause.

Veterans Day Chapel Service: Wednesday, November 12, 10:30 AM
We are seeking Veterans who would be willing to speak during our special chapel service. Each speaker will have 10–15 minutes to share about their military experience and how they have seen God work in their lives.

Glory in a Manger RCA Christmas Play: Sunday, December 7, 5:00 PM
Last year, our students did a wonderful job bringing the Christmas story to life, and many who did not participate wished they had.
This year, we are encouraging every student at RCA to take part in the production. Please be on the lookout for an upcoming email with more details, including how to sign up and ways parents can help.

I hope and pray everyone had a wonderful Monday and a great start to the week!
This week, your child’s Progress Report (LC3 and up) will be sent home. Please take time to review your child’s academic progress so far this quarter.
As a reminder, for students to be eligible for the Honor Roll Field Trip at the end of the quarter, the following criteria must be met:

• Students must complete the required number of PACEs per subject:
  
  • 3 PACEs per subject if the student is on grade level
    
  • 4–6 PACEs per subject if the student is behind in any subject
    
• Students must maintain an overall average of 88 or above
  
• Students must recite the class scripture at least 7 out of the 9 weeks of the quarter
  
• Students must have fewer than 5 tardies for the quarter
  
• Students must not have repeated disciplinary issues
  

Please ensure your child is staying on track to meet these requirements.


Early Release – Friday, October 10
Students will be released from school at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Please plan accordingly for early pickup.


School Holiday – Monday, October 13
Rosanky Christian Academy will be closed in observance of Columbus Day.


Christmas in October – Wednesday, October 29
We invite all families to join us for our Christmas in October event on Wednesday, October 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will be a fun evening with food and Christmas-themed games. As part of our annual Toy Drive, we will be collecting gift cards and new toys to help families in need during the holiday season. Our goal is to bless families with food, toys, and gift cards. Thank you in advance for your support.

Picture Day – Tuesday, October 7
Tomorrow is Picture Day. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately and prepared to have their picture taken. If your child needs a haircut, I ask that you please take care of it today. Students will also be taking class pictures, and it is very difficult to schedule classroom picture retakes. If your child is able to attend, please make sure they are present.


Rosanky Community Center Contest Winners!
RCA students, who entered the Rosanky Community Center Coloring Contest, were rewarded with their prizes today! Congratulations to the Savannah K., Indy F., Kayla M., Joseph M., Rylan R., John M., McKayla S., Madison R., and Felixson G.!!! It is wonderful to see all the creative skills our RCA students have.
