Current Student Enrollment Open3/25/2024 Good afternoon, RCA Family!
Today is the first day of the 4th quarter. This week Report Cards will be sent home in your blue Parent Envelope. The 4th quarter officially ends with the last day of school on Friday, May17, 2024 and our Awards Assembly. The following week, May 20-22, only students in LC 5, 6 and 7 who have tests to complete may be asked to come to school. Please encourage your child to do extra work, if there is a need to do so. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Early Enrollment Today begins early enrollment for current students. All students will receive a re-enrollment form in their Parent Envelope. To ensure your child has a place at RCA next year, please respond promptly. The early enrollment fee of $100 will only be good until Friday, April 5th - after that time it will increase to the current fee of $175. Parents, make sure if you wish to re-enroll your student(s), that you do so no later than Friday, April 5th, to receive the discount fee. Please understand that we can make no exceptions to this, as after this time we open enrollment to new students, and we must have an accurate assessment of each classroom's capacity. Tuition Our fundraiser this year was a success! Our totals show that we raised over $36,000. This will enable us to offset what tuition and fees do not cover for staff salaries and other expenses, and as we prepare to improve the school and upgrade/maintain the facilities. With that being said, we have made the prayerful decision to implement a slight increase in tuition for the 2024-2025 school year. Tuition for each returning student will increase $25 per month, per student ($225 per year). We strive to make attending RCA as affordable as possible; our fees are 40-60 percent below private schools in our area. Paid In Full Discount We are offering to all parents, a non-refundable repayment discount of 5% on their total annual tuition for all students enrolled, if paid in full by Thursday, August 1, 2024. This discount is for tuition only. Referral Incentive Let your family and friends know how much you love your school and refer them to RCA! We are now offering a $100 tuition credit-incentive for each student who enrolls in RCA (the new student must be enrolled through the first quarter). All $100 referrals will be credited to your tuition in December 2024. 2024-2025 Tuition Payment Schedule For the 2024-25 school year the first tuition payment will be due on August 1. The monthly tuition payment schedule will be August through January and March through May. In February of 2025, a non-refundable fee for books and enrollment will be due. Moving forward we will start including an RCA t-shirt in with the enrollment fee. Looking Forward Tuition for current 2023 students will start in August for the 2024 school year. In February of 2025 (next school year), the non-refundable enrollment and book fee will be due to guarantee your student’s place for the 2025-26 school year, and tuition payments will be August through January and March through May. This payment schedule adjustment is imperative to allow us to better prepare for the upcoming school year. 2024- 2025 RCA Tuition & Enrollment Schedule (for current students) April 5 Early Enrollment (returning student) includes T-Shirt $100 *After April 5 Enrollment Fee $175 August 26 Book Fees $375 Aug-Jan Monthly Tuition February 2025-2026 School Year Early Enrollment and Book Fee Mar-May Monthly Tuition Attached to this email you will find a copy of the Re-Enrollment Application and we will send a paper copy home this week in the blue Parent Envelope. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In His service, JR Regalado Praise the Lord for a successful fundraiser on Saturday! THANK YOU to our wonderful parents, students, staff, school family and church family for all your hard work. It was an amazing day, and none of it would have happened without the grace of our God.
We are thankful for all the great businesses and individuals who donated items for the live auction. Thanks too, to all the people who baked goods for both the silent and live auctions. And thank you, to all you great people who came out and supported RCA by spending your hard-earned money by investing in the future of our students. Last, but not least, ‘Thank You’ to Rachel and Brian Bracewell (Owners of Southside Market & Barbeque). They donated and cooked the sausage for the BBQ fundraiser. What a blessing. Please go by and support their business and all those who helped sponsor the RCA fundraiser. This week, we have Noon Early Release on Friday, March 8, and then we have no school for Spring Break March 11-15. There are just three weeks left until the end of the 3rd quarter! Scripture Memorization is due this Friday. Parents, thank you for your commitment to RCA. Let’s continue to work and go forward together. Keep us in your prayers. We are so blessed! I pray for God’s blessings on each of you. Blessings, JR Regalado I hope that you had a wonderful Presidents Day—and enjoyed the long weekend.
This is the 5th week of the 3rd quarter and this week your child’s Mid-quarter Progress Report will be sent home in the Parent Envelope. Please look it over carefully and make sure that if your child is on level, he/she is on schedule to complete at least 3 grades in each subject for this quarter. If your child is behind and not on level, he/she should be on schedule to complete more than 4 Paces in any subject in which they are behind. (All grades after 1/20/23 are for this quarter). We want each child to achieve Privilege Status for the quarter. Please discuss with your child’s teacher any concerns or questions you might have. Very soon, we will be opening pre-registration for all returning students. To guarantee your child will have a spot next year at RCA, you will need to respond quickly when re-enrollment opens. Watch for more information coming soon! Student Tardies School starts at 8:20 am. If your child is not at their class table by 8:20 am, they will be counted as tardy. Students who arrive after 8:20 am must report to the Fellowship Hall, and not hang out in the restrooms or hallways during our morning exercises. The exterior doors automatically lock at 8:25 am, students who show up after this time will need to be signed in by a parent or guardian. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please give me a call or stop by the office so we can discuss it. Solar Eclipse of April 8, 2024 A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, masking the image of the Sun from the viewers on Earth. We wish for families to experience the Solar Eclipse together so RCA is giving students the day off. This day off is not on the school calendar. It was great to see all the students in school today. I hope and pray each of you had a blessed Thanksgiving. Our RCA students collected almost 1000 non-perishable food items and donated them to the RBC Food Pantry. All the food collected was given away to families in need. The food pantry thanked everyone who generously gave to the Thanksgiving food drive. LC6 was the winning class to collect the most items. They will get to wear jeans for a week and have a pizza party! Mr. Dan will contact the LC6 parents to share more information. Today we only have about 4.5 weeks of school days left of the 2nd quarter. Parents, please encourage your child to stay on task by meeting their daily goals. Mid-quarter progress reports will be sent home on the week of December 11th. The December scripture memorization is due this Friday, December 8. Honor Roll Field Trips LC1 and LC2 are going to Crowes Nest Farm on Friday. LC 3 is rescheduling their field trip from the bad weather day. Mrs. Jeanette will send out information after the field trip is confirmed. Bastrop Christmas Parade! Last year the Bastrop Christmas Parade was a lot of fun, and this year we look forward to being in it again. Thank you to Chelsea Kirks for taking the lead in this! The Parade is on December 9. We will send out more information in the coming days. Pizza Hut Fundraiser This is a win-win fundraiser. You don’t have to cook, and the school earns 20%. You can order online or in person. Students will have a flyer to take home and there will be a digital flyer attached to this email. Please see the flyer for instructions. Don’t forget to share it with your family and friends!! Have a great week, JR Regalado LCRA, BLUEBONNET ELECTRIC CO-OP AWARD $25,000 GRANT FOR UPGRADES TO BASKETBALL COURT AND PLAYGROUNDLCRA and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative representatives present a $25,000 grant to the Rosanky Baptist Church for upgrades to a community playscape and basketball court at the Rosanky Christian Academy. The grant is part of LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program. Pictured, from left to right, are: JR Regalado, school principal; Josh Coy, Bluebonnet community representative, Bastrop area; Elaine Fawcett, teacher; Wesley Brinkmeyer, Bluebonnet community development manager; Rhonda Lock, teacher; Matthew L. “Matt” Arthur, LCRA Board member; Haley Muniz, teacher; Fisher Reynolds, LCRA chief of staff; State Rep. BASTROP COUNTY, Texas – An outdoor community playscape and basketball court at Rosanky Christian Academy soon will get new shade, lighting and other upgrades, thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
The Community Development Partnership Program grant to the Rosanky Baptist Church, along with almost $8,500 in matching funds from the church, will enable the school to install a shade structure over the playscape, and add new lighting and a water fountain at the basketball pavilion. “We've known for a while that the area around our basketball pavilion and playground needed upgrades, including efficient lighting, appropriate shade and water fountains,” said JR Regalado, school principal. “Many times, kids and families stayed away from the playground during the day because it was in direct sunlight. The upgrades will provide some relief from the Texas heat.” The school grounds and playscape are popular outdoor spaces for the community, and the basketball court is the only one in Rosanky open to the public. It is available after school and on the weekends until 9 p.m., but the lack of lighting limits use of the court once it gets dark. “With the upgrades, our community will have improved access to the playground and pavilion,” Regalado said. “This grant is important because it will provide a safer area that is more accessible for the community.” LCRA General Manager Phil Wilson said LCRA is proud to support the project, which will increase the availability of outdoor activities in the Rosanky area. “Having a place to gather, play and participate in physical activity is so important for a community,” Wilson said. “Both young people and older folks benefit from being active, and these upgrades will make it easier to get outside and have some fun.” Wilson said the improvements will help support the health and well-being of Rosanky residents and the surrounding areas. “We know being in the midday sun can be dangerous in the summer, so this will let kids have a cooler place to play,” he said. “We also know not everyone can get to a basketball court before dark, and having lights provides a safer and more accessible environment for those who want to play a little ball even after the sun goes down.” The community grant is one of 45 grants awarded recently through LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program, which helps volunteer fire departments, local governments, emergency responders and nonprofit organizations fund capital improvement projects in LCRA’s wholesale electric, water and transmission service areas. The program is part of LCRA’s effort to give back to the communities it serves. Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative is one of LCRA’s wholesale electric customers and is a partner in the grant program. Applications for the next round of grants will be accepted in January. More information is available at lcra.org/cdpp. About LCRA The Lower Colorado River Authority serves customers and communities throughout Texas by managing the lower Colorado River; generating and transmitting electric power; providing a clean, reliable water supply; and offering outdoor adventures at more than 40 parks along the Colorado River from the Texas Hill Country to the Gulf Coast.
