Weekly Letter September 25th9/25/2023 September 25, 2023
This is the 4th week of the 1st quarter. We have just one more week until mid-quarter progress reports are issued. They will go home next Monday in the Parent Envelopes. Progress Reports will go out next Monday. If your child has homework, please make sure you are reading and signing your child’s homework slip. It is our mission to have every student meet their goals each quarter, if a student is not completing their homework assignments it will be difficult for them to meet their goals. For an absence or tardy to be excused, students must have a parent or doctor’s note. SYATP See You At The Pole is this Wednesday! We will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27 (please have your student at school at 7:25 a.m.). All students will gather around the flagpole in the courtyard--parents, you are welcome to stay. Remember, students who attend are allowed to wear jeans with either a SYATP shirt OR an RCA shirt. Afterward, we will have snacks for LC 5-7 in the chapel and for LC 1-3 in the fellowship hall. Coloring Contest The Rosanky Community Center asked our students if they would like to participate in a coloring contest. All coloring sheets have been submitted! When we know the results we will share them with you. I am very proud of all the students who participated in the contest, it was wonderful to see their creativity. Grandparents/Grandfriends Day Parents, if you have not signed up, or if you are unsure what to bring, please contact your child’s teacher. Students will be dismissed from their classroom at 11:45 a.m., to join their Grandparents/Grandfriends for lunch. Parents, to help us prepare in time, we kindly ask everyone to drop off food in the morning or please have it here no later than 11 a.m. We understand some students may have grandparents who are no longer with us, so we encourage them to invite their Grandfriends! Students can leave with their grandparents/grandfriends after lunch. If they are not on the Student Release Form, please send a note to the teacher. Early Release Friday This Friday is an early release day. If your child is not going home with a grandparent they will need to be picked up at 2 pm. Have a blessed week, JR Regalado

Weekly Letter Sep. 18th9/18/2023 I hope everyone had a great start to their week. My family and I enjoy starting off the week at church. Yesterday Pastor Randy preached out of 1 John 4. My takeaway from the message was; that God is love, we are called to love one another, and God’s love is revealed to the world through us. I am thankful for Sundays because it allows us to spend time with the Lord and to start the week in a positive direction.
Most students are doing well in the classroom, and some have already taken their first test of the school year. Parents, please give extra attention to homework slips. For students to meet their projection goals they need to complete their assigned homework. 1 day of not completing homework can set a student off course for the week and the quarter. Progress Reports Next week is the last week before progress reports are sent out. Coloring Contest The Rosanky Community Center asked our students if they would like to participate in a coloring contest. If your child is participating in the contest they will need to have their coloring sheet submitted by THIS THURSDAY. Last year we had 5 students win a prize! Grandparents Day Grandparents Day is September 29th. Students will be dismissed to have lunch with their grandparents at 11:45 a.m. Teachers sent out information for parents to sign up and bring lunch items, please respond at your earliest convenience. Please take notice that this is a 2 p.m. early release day, but students are free to leave with grandparents after lunch. Parent Packets We still have a few Parent Packets that have not been turned in and we have some incomplete packets that are missing forms. Please have these packets turned in by Wednesday.
