Weekly Letter October 21st10/21/2024 Today we started Week 8! Let’s make it great!!
We have several events coming up. Please read the following to be in the know. Christmas in October Next Wednesday, from 6:30 pm-8 pm, is our Christmas in October Toy Drive. If you have never been to Christmas in October, you won’t want to miss it! We will have Christmas-themed games with prizes, food and drinks, a hayride, a cake walk, and best of all you will have an opportunity to bless a family for the Christmas holiday. We need volunteers to help staff the games and hand out prizes. If you would like to be a volunteer at Christmas in October, please let your child’s teacher know, and we will find a place for you to serve. Reminder: This year our focus is collecting gift cards. Christmas Play Today, your child was sent home with a flyer for the Christmas Play. We have had several students sign up to be in the play- if you haven’t signed up, there is still time! The play will be on December 15, at 10:00 AM. Please click on the link below to sign up! Christmas Play Sign-Up Link Veterans Day Chapel Service In honor of Veterans Day, for chapel service on Wednesday, November 6th, we would like to invite a few veterans to come and speak to the students during chapel. If you or someone you know are interested in speaking, please let your child’s teacher know and fill out the online form. Veterans Day Chapel Service Sign-Up Link Art Class Fundraiser The art classes in LC’s 1-5 are participating in a fundraiser for RCA. They have each created a colorful art piece that has been mailed to a company called Original Works. The art will be scanned into a computer, and a magnet will be created. It will arrive on October 28th and be sent home for you to see. If you want to purchase it, you pay RCA and keep the magnet. There will also be a brochure with prices for additional items that the company can make with your child’s artwork. The school will make a percentage from each sold item. If you don’t want the magnet, you may simply return it to the school. You can check out the products ahead of time at originalworks.com -Mrs. Michelle Spirit Week Spirit Week is next! Each day of the week we will have a theme for the students to show their spirit. The usual school uniform dress code is not enforced this week (jeans are allowed all week). Spirit Week is October 28-November 1. This week we will send out an email with all the theme days. Fire Safety Prevention This Thursday, our Local ESD will be at RCA to teach the kids about fire prevention. The team will speak to the kids and perform a live skit. At Christmas in October, we will have a tree for you to hang your cards on. Please plan to be here for this event! Have a great day and a wonderful week, I hope everyone had a great start to their week. My family and I enjoy starting our week in worship at church. Sundays at church are special because, after a busy week of being on the go, they allow us to be together and grow together, as a family. If you don’t have a church home, please let me encourage you to find one where you can worship and serve.
Most students are doing well in the classroom, and some have already taken their first test for the school year. Parents, please give extra attention to homework slips. Students need to complete their assigned homework to meet their projection goals. One day of not completing homework can set a student off course for the week and the quarter. Coloring Contest The Rosanky Community Center asked our students if they would like to participate in a coloring contest. If your child is participating in the contest, they must have their coloring sheet turned in by THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26. Coloring Sheets will be handed out tomorrow. Today is the first day of the 4th quarter. This week Report Cards will be sent home in your blue Parent Envelope. The 4th quarter officially ends with the last day of school on Friday, May17, 2024 and our Awards Assembly. The following week, May 20-22, only students in LC 5, 6 and 7 who have tests to complete may be asked to come to school. Please encourage your child to do extra work, if there is a need to do so. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Early Enrollment Today begins early enrollment for current students. All students will receive a re-enrollment form in their Parent Envelope. To ensure your child has a place at RCA next year, please respond promptly. The early enrollment fee of $100 will only be good until Friday, April 5th - after that time it will increase to the current fee of $175. Parents, make sure if you wish to re-enroll your student(s), that you do so no later than Friday, April 5th, to receive the discount fee. Please understand that we can make no exceptions to this, as after this time we open enrollment to new students, and we must have an accurate assessment of each classroom's capacity. Tuition Our fundraiser this year was a success! Our totals show that we raised over $36,000. This will enable us to offset what tuition and fees do not cover for staff salaries and other expenses, and as we prepare to improve the school and upgrade/maintain the facilities. With that being said, we have made the prayerful decision to implement a slight increase in tuition for the 2024-2025 school year. Tuition for each returning student will increase $25 per month, per student ($225 per year). We strive to make attending RCA as affordable as possible; our fees are 40-60 percent below private schools in our area. Paid In Full Discount We are offering to all parents, a non-refundable repayment discount of 5% on their total annual tuition for all students enrolled, if paid in full by Thursday, August 1, 2024. This discount is for tuition only. Referral Incentive Let your family and friends know how much you love your school and refer them to RCA! We are now offering a $100 tuition credit-incentive for each student who enrolls in RCA (the new student must be enrolled through the first quarter). All $100 referrals will be credited to your tuition in December 2024. 2024-2025 Tuition Payment Schedule For the 2024-25 school year the first tuition payment will be due on August 1. The monthly tuition payment schedule will be August through January and March through May. In February of 2025, a non-refundable fee for books and enrollment will be due. Moving forward we will start including an RCA t-shirt in with the enrollment fee. Looking Forward Tuition for current 2023 students will start in August for the 2024 school year. In February of 2025 (next school year), the non-refundable enrollment and book fee will be due to guarantee your student’s place for the 2025-26 school year, and tuition payments will be August through January and March through May. This payment schedule adjustment is imperative to allow us to better prepare for the upcoming school year. 2024- 2025 RCA Tuition & Enrollment Schedule (for current students) April 5 Early Enrollment (returning student) includes T-Shirt $100 *After April 5 Enrollment Fee $175 August 26 Book Fees $375 Aug-Jan Monthly Tuition February 2025-2026 School Year Early Enrollment and Book Fee Mar-May Monthly Tuition Attached to this email you will find a copy of the Re-Enrollment Application and we will send a paper copy home this week in the blue Parent Envelope. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In His service, JR Regalado Praise the Lord for a successful fundraiser on Saturday! THANK YOU to our wonderful parents, students, staff, school family and church family for all your hard work. It was an amazing day, and none of it would have happened without the grace of our God.
We are thankful for all the great businesses and individuals who donated items for the live auction. Thanks too, to all the people who baked goods for both the silent and live auctions. And thank you, to all you great people who came out and supported RCA by spending your hard-earned money by investing in the future of our students. Last, but not least, ‘Thank You’ to Rachel and Brian Bracewell (Owners of Southside Market & Barbeque). They donated and cooked the sausage for the BBQ fundraiser. What a blessing. Please go by and support their business and all those who helped sponsor the RCA fundraiser. This week, we have Noon Early Release on Friday, March 8, and then we have no school for Spring Break March 11-15. There are just three weeks left until the end of the 3rd quarter! Scripture Memorization is due this Friday. Parents, thank you for your commitment to RCA. Let’s continue to work and go forward together. Keep us in your prayers. We are so blessed! I pray for God’s blessings on each of you. Blessings, JR Regalado |
