Weekly Letter Sep. 11th9/11/2023 You can’t have a great week of school if you don’t have a great Monday! As I walked through the classrooms today it was good to see students working diligently to get their assignments completed. Parents, you can help and encourage your student to stay on track by giving extra attention to homework slips.
Today begins the 2nd week of the 1st quarter. Remember that your child’s teacher is available to you- if you need to talk about your student’s progress, you can also arrange to meet in person. We are thankful for parents who want to be involved in their child’s education and we desire to help you in any way we can. Lunch/Snack Break If your child is returning home with snacks, it is because teachers are discouraging kids from eating snacks like candy and fruit snacks during their morning break. Please pack nutritional snacks for their lunch and morning break. Water Bottle/Containers As we all know, it is hot outside! Sometimes getting a quick drink from the water fountain isn’t enough for students and they are soon asking to go get another drink after they enter the classroom. Please try to remember to bring a refillable water bottle or container each day. See You At The Pole The global day of student prayer is on Wednesday, September 28 beginning at 7:30 am (please have your student to school by 7:25 am). We will meet at the RCA flag pole and our LC 7 students will lead the school in prayer. Parents are welcome to stay and participate! Students who attend SYATP are allowed to wear jeans and their SYATP t-shirt or an RCA school shirt. We will have breakfast items available for all students in the fellowship hall afterward. *SYATP T-shirts are ordered. We will distribute them as soon as they come in. Scripture Memory Verses Our students have their class scripture memory due each week. Parents, you can help with this by practicing with your child. Piano and Vocal Classes start this week. Piano and Vocal is a new class this year. I am looking forward to hearing our RCA students sing and play! Thank you for dressing your children in red, white, and blue, today. Please allow me to encourage you to spend a moment with your family and pray for our nation as we remember all the heroes who were forged in the hours, days, and years following the terrible morning of September 11, 2001. Looking forward to following this great day with a great week! Bro. JR Regalado Principal
